The Movie:

Rookie FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) teams up with a game tracker with deep community ties and a haunted past (Jeremy Renner) to investigate the mysterious killing of a local girl on a remote Native American reservation.

I love a great thriller/mystery every now and then so naturally I was looking forward to checking this one out. The plot is one of those few that come along and slowly unfolds itself without giving the whole plot away automatically. The story gives you the pieces and takes you on a journey much like a true crime TV show which made it really engaging. Renner and Olsen completely knock it out of the park with their performances. Olsen was a no brainer when it came to expecting a great performance but with Renner, I didn’t expect the depth that came from him and his character. He really was a big focal point of the story and his part in the final act was the most satisfying to see on screen. The main thing that I felt was important was the message it was putting forth about the undocumented accounts of missing Native Americans. It was a shocking thing to see and it still blows my mind that something like that has happened. I hope that this film brings awareness to what’s going on in regards to that and helps to get a discussion started. The film was a great thrill ride and I can easily recommend it to anyone that is in search of something that will keep you on the edge of your seat. 8/10
