 The Movie:

When sixteen year old Melissa Kennedy (Kristina Elliott) goes missing the town is on the defensive. On the other side of the spectrum Sylvia Potter (Lindsey Shaw) is a young high school girl just waiting for love. She wants nothing more than to to be swept off her feet just like in the movies. When rich kid Lucas Green (Jamie Johnston) starts showing interest in Sylvia she initially shows hesitation but eventually jumps in head first. Soon enough Lucas is all she can think of and her friends are beginning to see something suspicious about him. They eventually find out that Melissa Kennedy used to date Lucas right before her disappearance and now Sylvia’s friends fear she may be in danger. There’s one variable that they didn’t anticipate. The question now is “Who REALLY was involved in Melissa’s disappearance?”.

This film takes the thriller genre and give it a bit of youth….literally. Kind of like Saved By The Bell but with murder. This story was an interesting one with some surprising twists and turns. Shaw was actually really good in this and made me start talking to the T.V. When you start saying things like “Are you kidding me?” or “No, what the hell are you thinking?!” you know they accomplished what they set out to. Johnston played the “unstable love interest” really well and there were times when I couldn’t tell if he was entirely telling the truth or not. Jean-Luc Bilodeau showed in this film that it’s the quiet ones you have to look out for. His turn from innocent best friend to jealous, murdering best friend was done well and I can honestly say that I didn’t see that one coming. If you decide to rewatch this film again you can almost see certain looks that Biloeau’s character gives throughout the movie. Not a lot of actors can accomplish something like that so kudos to him. Plenty of people like to view “Direct to DVD” movies as a being cheesy or simply not that good but as the years have gone on the quality of these DTD films have gotten better and better and it shows with this release. If you like to watch the teen drama shows on The CW then this film will be right up your alley.

Special Features:

Love Me: Behind The Scenes -A pretty cool feature that shows a bit of what was involved in making the film.

Love Me: Stories From The Set – A few interviews with the cast and crew

This release was a bit light on features but the film had a good, solid “Whodunit” story that I enjoyed.

Below is a slideshow and a clip from the film:
