Harried mom Ethel (Taraji P. Henson) entrusts her precious, soon-to-hatch egg to Sid (John Leguizamo). When she recommends him to her neighbors – condor mom (Wendy Williams), Cholly Bear (Gabriel Iglesias) and Gladys Glypto (Lili Estefan) – business booms at his new egg-sitting service. However, dastardly pirate bunny Squint (Seth Green), who is seeking revenge on the ICE AGE gang, steals, camouflages and hides all the eggs. Once again, with Squint’s brother, Clint (Blake Anderson), assisting, Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary) and the rest of the gang come to the rescue and take off on a daring mission that turns into the world’s first Easter egg hunt.

This was such a fantastic Easter short. These are always enjoyable and I found myself laughing out loud. It was an extremely clever way that they explained the origins of the Easter Bunny and such. The only one disappointing feature was that it was over way too soon. I could’ve easily watched another 30 minutes or so of the story play out and but it truly was great for what we got. I know we’ve seen and heard this voice cast together many times but it has to be addressed one more time that they mesh so well together. Each personality that was created for these characters are funny, heartwarming and so entertaining. The one character that made me want to punch them was Squint played by Green. Yes, I know, it sounds crazy saying that I would want to injure an animated rabbit but it’s true. Green plays that character so good that I was getting annoyed at him. That’s a total testament to his VO work. I liked this short a whole lot BUT the real test was to get my son to watch it. His reaction? Well lets just say that I think I have it memorized by now. 8/10

Special Features:

Ice Age: Collision Course Cosmic Scrat-Tastrophe – This basically serves as a sneak peek to the newest Ice Age film. It’s actually really cool and clever.

Ice Age: The Story So Far – A really cool highlight video that gives you a quick run through of all the Ice Age films thus far.

Shorts – I counted 7 shorts that were included and there all ones that we’ve seen before but it’s so much fun being able to watch them all over again in one sitting without having to swap out blu-ray discs.

Lost Historical Films – 3 shorts videos that give you an educational and funny look at the Sloth, Saber Toothed Tiger and Possum.

Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade is available NOW on Digital HD from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment
