Recap: American Horror Story Asylum S2 E1 – Welcome to Briarcliff

Let’s jump right in shall we?

This season starts out creepy right away with two lovers named Leo and Teresa (played by Adam Levine and Jenna Dewan-Tatum) walking up to an abandoned Briarcliff Asylum. Teresa loves the creep factor of the place and they decide to sneak inside to look around. After getting rather frisky they do more exploring and find a locked room with a slot in the door. Leo sticks his arm in there to inspect it more and gets his arm ripped clean off by someTHING on the other side of the door.

Recap: The Walking Dead S3 E1 – Seed

Last night The Walking Dead made its return back to AMC. The premiere episode starts off a couple of months down the road by the look of Lori’s pregnant belly. Rick and the gang (not to be confused with Kool and the Gang) are scouring a site for supplies when the zombies come knocking. One by one each survivor took each zombie out that was in their way with ease…….even (sometimes) annoying little Carl was in on the fun. From the looks of it they have all become a fairly well oiled machine, working together and watching each others backs which is a long way from where they first started.

The Dead Will Walk once again Oct. 14th on AMC

The third season of The Walking Dead is gearing up to be a great one. When we left the group at the end of season two they were picking up the pieces from the undead assault on the farm. With their home destroyed they made their way out and decided to regroup. The ending scene showed the infamous prison. If you have read the comics then you know what could possibly be in store for the group. I say “possibly” because it seems like they are trying to keep some aspects of the comics but also make things completely different. Which is great! It gives us all an element of surprise. With Rick declaring that they are no longer a democracy it looks like the gloves are off and he’s becoming someone different.

The regular cast seems to consist of more or less the same people but there are a few newbies in there as well. Danai Gurira joins the cast as Michonne and David Morrissey as The Governer. These two are major characters in the comics and will no doubt make the third season rather interesting.

Season 3 of The Walking Dead premieres Sunday October 14th at 9/8c on AMC

SIDE NOTE: DISH NETWORK DOES NOT CARRY AMC!!!!

American Horror Story makes its way back to TV via the Asylum

Mark your calenders if you haven’t already. The second season of FX’s American Horror Story will be making its way into your living rooms Oct. 17th, this time with the subtitle “Asylum”. If that doesn’t already make your skin crawl then I don’t know what will. The first season debuted with 3.2 Million viewers watching the premiere episode and I’m 100% certain this season will be no different. Since the ending of the previous season I’ve been wondering what they we going to do with the series then about a week or two ago I started seeing promos air on TV. They officially had my full undivided attention. Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine (pictured below) will appear in the premiere along with the regulars of this season:

Now for the question you should ask yourself come Oct. 17th……”Should I watch it with the lights off?”

The answer is yes. Definitely yes.
