In 2001, the fourth series in Todd McFarlane’s highly succesful movie themed action figure line made its debut. By this time the line had reached its standard and was producing great, quality figures. The sculpt and detail on these were no different.
They were so good in fact that the people in charge of the licensing for The Blair Witch Project allowed McFarlane Toys to sculpt their own interpretation of what the witch actually looked like (The movies never showed her true form). The second go round for Freddy was even better than the previous one. This one looked exactly like Robert Englund and had the exact stance that gives Freddy his “creep factor”. This was a beautifully crafted line that really proved that these weren’t just toys anymore. These were works of art.
