Impractical Jokers – The Complete Second Season: DVD Review

This hidden-camera series follows four lifelong friends – Brian ”Q” Quinn, James ”Murr” Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano – who take dares to an outrageous level. Since they were young, the quartet have challenged one another to do ridiculous dares in public. On the show, to find out who is best under pressure, the guys compete in awkward and outrageous hidden-camera hijinks. At the end of each episode, the loser must perform what is deemed to be the most-mortifying challenge yet.

I will admit that I’ve never seen this show before. I’ve always heard of it but never got around to watching it so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to check it out. Literally, after about 15 minutes I was hooked. This is probably one of the funniest shows I’ve seen in a while for the simple fact that it automatically reminded me of me and my friends when we were younger. I think that’s really the main attraction to the show is. It’s that these guys are like the “every guy” that could most definitely be someone you know. Some of their jokes on each other can push boundaries at times and I honestly don’t know how one of them haven’t gotten punched already but that’s the catch, it has you cringing at times because you feel like someone at any time could take a swing at them. It’s difficult to pick a stand out segment because they all were very funny but some of my favorite ones were the ones where they had to team up to make presentations to a room full of people and the other team is in another room feeding them embarrassing lines to say or point point videos to start. If you’re like me and haven’t watched this show at all then do so right away. It completely was a surprise hit with me and I’ll definitely be watching from now on.

Special Features:

Deleted Scenes – There about 12 scenes here that are just as good as the show itself. This is a must watch.

Inside Jokes – Pretty much a “Pop Up Video” version of an episode of the show. Pretty Interesting.

Behind The Scenes – A mix between BTS footage and clips from the show.

Uncensored Commentaries
