Galactic Adventures – 3D Sun/Mars 3D: Blu-ray Review

People have always wondered what it would be like to get a close look at the Sun and Mars and finally NASA has given us the chance to… 3D!! These features take a look at the images that were taken by two spacecrafts and two rovers that have given us more of an insight on the Sun and Mars. It was astonishing to see what they both actually look like in 3D, Mars especially. The photos that were shown were straight from the Mars rover and it really makes you feel like you’re there on the surface of the planet itself. The documentaries themselves were short but so very informative and I wish they were a lot longer than what they were. After seeing some of the Sun simulations of the storms that happen on the surface I was sold and it had my definite attention. There’s so much that one person can learn from these two mini-docs and it will truly open the mental floodgates on the subjects. After watching them both I went straight to Google to start reading up more about them. One moment that stuck in my mind was when the people at NASA were waiting for the rovers to land. The anticipation and suspense was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Something like a rover landing on Mars just doesn’t happen in a day so seeing the stress on all of the personnel’s faces was probably one of the most “movie-like” moments of the entire thing and when they reached their goal they cheered and celebrated like they just won the lottery (which they kind of did). If you’re looking for a quick look at such an interesting subject then this would be perfect. Not only is this in 3D Blu-ray but it also plays in 2D as well in a regular Blu-ray player but to get the beautiful look then I totally suggest 3D.

Galactic Adventures – 3D Sun/Mars 3D is available December 3rd on 3D Blu-ray/Blu-ray from RLJ Entertainment
