Angry Birds Toons – Season 1 Volume 2: Blu-ray Review

Join Red, Chuck, Matilda, Bomb, the Blues and Terence as they continue to hatch up schemes to foil the sneaky Bad Piggies who plot to steal their eggs. Based on one of the most popular games in history, ANGRY BIRDS TOONS Season One – Volume Two brings back your favorite characters for 26 more fun-filled adventures. Will our heroes defeat the mischievous Piggies once and for all?

It’s no secret that Angry Birds was one of the most popular mobile games of all time and now they have went a step further and moved into the animation field. This blu-ray gives you 26 episodes with a running time of a little over an hour and a half. Angry Birds Toons gives you a compilation of shorts that you may have seen here and there on the Angry Birds game app before but are put together for everyone to enjoy. The shorts have no dialogue at all which at first I thought was a little weird but upon further thought I realized that this was kind of a genius move. If you think about it, it’s a lot like the Tom and Jerry cartoons of 1940’s where it all relied on gags and situations. It was the best thing to do in order for EVERYONE around the world to be able to enjoy these toons. From what I can tell it seems to be a bit of a prequel to the game and tells why the Angry Birds and Bad Piggies aren’t so fond of each other. This was a really fun set of toons to watch and my kids absolutely loved it and my son couldn’t stop asking me to put on “The Bird Game Movie”. If you’re looking for a cute cartoon that literally everyone can enjoy then I really suggest picking this up.
