I’m not going to lie, it’s been quite a while since I’ve seen any sort or iteration of Yu-Gi-Oh but the one thing that I do remember was that it hit really big a little bit after Pokemon swept the nation. I wasn’t ever the card playing kind of kid so I never got into that aspect of it but I did watch the show every now and then. The movie that is included in this collection I never saw though so I wanted to check it out. I was surprised that I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. I think the thing that got me on board was the fact that it featured 3 of the main characters from the other Yu-Gi-Oh shows. I’m a sucker for time travel and portal jumping type of stories and this was all of that rolled into one. There was some cheesy dialogue here and there but it’s to be expected with a show like this. I do have to salute this show though because of the interesting and unique monsters that each combatant throws out for battle. The only down side is that you might be a little lost if you’re just jumping right in but it doesn’t take too long to figure out what’s going on which is good. This release also comes with a disc that features two episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D s and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL that total to 8 extra episodes to enjoy. 7/10
