The Movie:
Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and the entire Muppets gang head out on a world tour. But mayhem follows the Muppets, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper. Now Kermit is behind bars at the mercy of prison warden Nadya (Tina Fey), and the World’s Number One Criminal, Constantine — a dead ringer for Kermit — has taken his place. As Constantine and his dastardly sidekick Dominic (Ricky Gervais) plot the robbery of the century, they are pursued by Sam Eagle and Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon (Ty Burrell). Will Constantine get away with his nefarious scheme? Will Kermit escape in time to save the day? Packed with dozens of guest cameos and some great new songs, Disney’s MUPPETS MOST WANTED is the most hilarious, most wanted Muppet movie ever!
2011 brought forth the resurgence of The Muppets and I couldn’t have been happier. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard they were making a sequel. This film is everything you would want in a Muppets movie and then some. They’ve added more guest stars and cameos that make the movie feel like you’re watching an old episode of The Muppet Show. That’s exactly what it was known for and it really stayed true to the feel of it. The story itself was a premise that has been done before but since it’s Kermit and crew then they totally get the pass. You would think that being an adult would change the way I look at the humor of these types of movies but I found myself laughing harder than ever. Fey, Gervais and Burrell provided some really great moments that only a person with their comedic timing could pull off and not seem cheesy. The songs in the film are so catchy that you’ll find them stuck in your head for days and humming along at random. The Muppets have become more than just stuff for kids, adults everywhere love them as well because of the classic comedic elements. Basically what I’m trying to say is BUY THIS and enjoy every moment of it!
