The Movie:

Billy (), Paddy (), Archie () and Sam () have been best friends since childhood. So when Billy, the group’s sworn bachelor, finally proposes to his thirty-something (of course) girlfriend, the four head to Las Vegas with a plan to stop acting their age and relive their glory days. However, upon arriving, the four quickly realize that the decades have transformed Sin City and tested their friendship in ways they never imagined. The Rat Pack may have once played the Sands and Cirque du Soleil may now rule the Strip, but it’s these four who are taking over Vegas.

Even before you watch this movie you know it’s going to be entertaining. The names attached to the film are proof of that. At first glance you automatically think this is The Hangover for an older crowd but it’s much more than that. When you’re younger you think you have so many problems and that when you get older that everything is so much easier but this film shows that there’s a whole new set of problems that a person has. The film has its serious points but is a comedy the rest of the way. You’ll get exactly what you would expect from a buddy adventure comedy with lots of “I need to take my heart medicine” type humor. It’s hard to pick a stand out performance but I have to say it’s a tie between De Niro and Freeman. Both of these actors had the funniest moments of the film and proved time and time again that they can play ANY role whatsoever. All of the various personalities balanced everything out just right and made you want to root for each character. This really was a fun film that had me laughing from start to finish. It also makes getting older not seem so bad at all. This one is a good one to check out.
