The Movie:

Chester MacFarland (Viggo Mortensen) and his alluring wife Colette (Kirsten Dunst) befriend a young guide (Oscar Isaac) during a European trip. Their friendship quickly takes a dangerous turn when it morphs into a love triangle rife with envy, obsession, and murder.

I love me a good thriller so of course I was going to watch this. The story was the perfect example of suspense and had the perfect cast to produce some edge of your seat moments. Isaac has proven to be quite the powerhouse actor and this role shows it once again. He exudes charm with his laid back demeanor and does it well. Mortensen has this way about him that makes him seem like a not so great guy from the start. He has the charm as well but he also has the ability to flip the switch and with a single look can look like a crazy man. I really haven’t made it a secret that I haven’t been a fan of the recent performances of Dunst but she was really good in this film. She has an appeal about her in this film that legitimized the love triangle going on between the three characters. It was a great story that had me trying to guess who was going to double cross who with a great conclusion to round it out. Basically this is a film that everyone will enjoy and will keep you asking yourself questions about the scenario going on. If the film makes you question things then that to me is something that needs to be seen. 8/10
