Season Overview:

After Dean Winchester lost his battle with power-mad angel scribe Metatron last season, he was resurrected by the power of the First Blade and transformed into a demon, cursed with the Mark of Cain. The road to recovering wayward Dean takes brother Sam down sinister paths himself, with consequences that will shake the boys to their core. The Winchesters’ angelic comrade-in-arms Castiel must pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Metatron’s campaign to overtake Heaven. With his divine “grace” failing and rogue angels still loose, Cass faces the ticking clock of his own mortality while all – new and ages – old threats again push our heroes to their human and otherworldly limits. At the same time, the King of Hell, Crowley, must deal with dissension within his own twisted family.

The season starts out pretty much where the previous one left off and that put Sam and Dean (especially Dean) in a spot that I’m sure people saw coming. I’m just going to come right out and say that I kind of like Evil Dean. He’s ruthless and does what he wants and for some reason I kind of dug that about him. Sure he murdered people and stuff but he was cool while he did it. Padalecki and Ackles have managed to go 10 seasons still continue to be such a strong team on this show. The way their characters go back and forth with each other shows the brotherly annoyance and the hilarious moments between the two are both clever and smart. As I’ve stated before this show is like the X-Files and Buffy The Vampire Slayer rolled into one and I love every minute of it. I was kind of a late watcher of this show but since I’ve started it’s become one of my favorite shows. The best part is that they have their set storyline in place but every couple of episodes we get a cool and quirky episode like “Fan Fiction” which is one of my favorite of the season. The entire season was an awesomely solid continuation of the Winchester story and the ending of the season finale gave all of us more reason to tune in when it premieres soon. 10/10
