The Movie:

Academy Award®-winning director Alex Gibney pulls no punches in his portrait of Apple founder Steve Jobs and his legacy. This probing and unflinching look at the life and aftermath of the bold, brilliant and at times ruthless iconoclast explores what accounted for the grief of so many when he died.
It’s extremely rare to find someone that hasn’t heard of Steve Jobs. Right away that shows just how much of a cultural impact this man made on society. This documentary looks at the man that created an empire and did so in a way that made him famous and infamous. On one hand he was a genius that gave us countless technological accessories but on the other hand the documentary shows a part of his ruthless and sometimes crazy sounding business practices. I will give this film a lot of credit because they aren’t scared to touch on various subjects about Jobs whether it be positive or negative and not only that but they do have people backing up the stories. Usually I’m kind of hesitant about documentaries that detail people that have passed but if there are enough sources (like this film had) it becomes a lot more credible than others that are simple documentaries with voice overs. It states the facts and lays them all on the table for us. It was most definitely an interesting journey to witness and to see how the tech that we use now was initially envisioned. With it being a little over 2 hours you’ll be pulled in and wanting to see more so I recommend picking this up and snuggle up close with your favorite Apple device. You will definitely become thankful for technology and Steve Jobs as a whole. 8/10
Special Features:
Interview With Director Alex Gibney – A decent feature that shows the director talking about the film and his experiences making it.
Deleted Scenes – Not really much here that adds anything more to the film. Interesting to see but skippable.
