Season Overview:

With Katrina held captive by the Headless Horseman, and Frank Irving mysteriously back from the dead, Ichabod and Abbie must rely on instinct to know who to trust in their quest to permanently vanquish Moloch – and stop the apocalypse.

I will be perfectly honest and admit that I hadn’t ever seen Sleepy Hollow before so I had to play catch up on the first season. I will say that I was surprised at how interesting the show turned out to be. If you would’ve just told me about the premise I would’ve just laughed but it kind of works pretty well. This season continues on where the previous one ended and I must say that I was just a little confused as to what was going on for a quick second. Believe me, it all became perfectly clear pretty quickly. I liked the fact that it had a storyline in place but also had standalone episodes that were very “monster of the week-esque”. Some of those episodes were not too great but others were really creepy. My favorite out of the bunch had to have been one titled The Weeping Lady. It seemed to be a loose interpretation of the Mexican urban legend of La Llorona but tweaked in a way that would suit the show. The special effect make up was fantastic and horrifying. There were some great seat jumping moments and even made my wife jump at some of the scares in the episode. There were a few times that had moments that made my eyes roll because of the amount of cheesiness but other than that it was a fairly strong season with some really great moments scattered throughout. The season finale was an interesting one that was basically a role reversal which I dug. Abbie ends up in Ichabod’s time and is the fish out of water which was exciting and humorous at times as well. The one thing that I absolutely hated about this season was that now that I got through it I have another show to add to my list to keep up with. 7/10

Special Features:

A Salute to Sleepyheads – This feature shows a bit from past conventions as well as the fan base of the show and how much they love it.

Mysteries and Mythology: The Secrets of Season Two – A look at the main plot points of this seasons’ storyline as well as some behind the scenes footage.

Monsters and Mayhem: The Creatures of Season Two – This feature showcases the baddies in the show and how they are put together. This was a favorite of mine.

Hollow History – This focuses on the lore of Sleepy Hollow and the way they like to show pieces of history with the SH vibe thrown in.

Deleted Scenes – A good amount of deleted scenes here that are actually quite good. Definitely worth checking out.

Gag Reel – So Good. I could watch Gag Reels for days and this one was no exception.
