SDCC ’13: Marvel Shows Off Their Upcoming Film Slate With Addition Of A Nice Surprise

The panel in the famous Hall H started and was interrupted very early on by Tom Hiddleston in full Loki garb. He shooed off Marvel studios President Kevin Feige and had panel moderator Chris Hardwick cowering under his podium. He addressed the crowd and worked them up in character like he was professional wrestler.

Feige came back on stage after Loki exited the building and introduced a brand new trailer for Thor: The Dark World.

The next panel was that of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and a whole scene was shown of Cap fighting off bad guys in an elevator.

The cast consisting of Jeff and Antony Russo, Frank Grillo, Emily Van Camp, Cobie Smulders, Anthony Mackie, Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson then hit the stage for the panel.

Feige then surprised the audience with the cast of Guardians Of The Galaxy. James Gunn, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillian, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Benicio Del Toro, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana and Chris Pratt showed up and gave a little insight on their characters and Gunn gave a bit on what he hopes fans get from the film.
Of course there was one last *surprise* as Kevin Feige brought out the one and only geek god Joss Wheadon! He then very quickly proceeded to announce the title of the 2nd Avengers film:
I’m extremely excited about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but I’m personally looking forward to Guardians Of The Galaxy. I really think this film will prove that anything Marvel Studios produces turns to gold. The cast looks great and James Gunn is the perfect eccentric director for a film such as this.
