Season Overview:
Starring Troian Bellisario (Spencer), Ashley Benson (Hanna), Lucy Hale (Aria), and Shay Mitchell (Emily), the season begins starts off right where we left it: Mona was revealed as A and the girls begin to think they can find solace now that she is at Bradley. But of course, their guard only stays down for so long as soon as they realize there may be more than one A in the mix. As each episode progresses, we are introduced to new characters, unfortunately lose a few, and plots thicken. More secrets are revealed on each girl and we never know who to suspect. Lines are crossed and relationships are put to the test. Who will be the next victim in A’s tangled web?
I would have to say so far, this has been one of my favorite seasons. The stories kept evolving and the web kept growing bigger and bigger. I remember way back when the first season aired and how hooked I was on this show and I kept thinking to myself, how are they going to keep this story moving?! Once we know who A is, doesn’t it all end? NOPE! Kudos to the writers who tend to find ways of keeping us at the edge of our seat! We tune in each week to get another bit of the dirt in Rosewood and it’s never been a disappointment. And aside from all the drama, I adore the PLL’s fashion sense, especially Hanna’s! These girls are exactly who you wish you could be in high school, gorgeous, tons of style, and filled with drama! Ok, maybe not the last one, but you get the idea. This is a season to watch. If you missed out, catch them all back to back with this dvd set. I would suggest starting early in the day, because you once you start, you won’t want to stop.
Special Features:
Pretty Little Liars and the “A” Network – Loved this feature! We all have our theories and its nice to hear that the actors themselves have their own. In fact, even more interesting to know that the actors know very little on who’s involved in the “A” network. It makes it that much more enjoyable to see the show. We are all wondering and making our own speculations!
Gag Reel – Always funny to see the outakes! Looks like Ashely Benson is the silly one on set!
Webisodes – The majority of these centered at the costume shop. Nothing major was introduced in these short clips, but we are slowly given connections between the characters and unfortunately further opening the door on the list of suspects! The writers love to keep us guessing. J
Deleted Scene – Quick scene between Hanna and Emily’s mom at the police station. It was a bit awkward, so I can see why it was not included.
