Brace yourself for awesome action and legendary laughs in this fun-filled animated TV series based on the Academy Awardr-Nominated hit movie Kung Fu Panda! As the chosen Dragon Warrior and sworn protector of the Valley of Peace, Po the panda is highly skilled, ever vigilant and hungry for justice…and dumplings. Together with the Furious Five – Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Crane and Viper – Po must fend off fierce villains, including an evil version of himself (courtesy of the Mystical Mirror of Yin and Yang) and the toothy Croc Bandits!

I decided that I wanted to review this with my three year old son because let’s face it, kids will tell you the truth right away if they don’t like it. He doesn’t know anything about the Kung Fu Panda film but almost immediately he fell in love with it. We watched all the episodes included on the disc (which I must say is a pretty good compilation) and by the end he was completely sold on it. He asked me as soon as it was over “Daddy, I want the Panda!”, so we watched it again. That just goes to show that even kids as small as him will absolutely love this collection of episodes. It’s so easy to get into the show and I found myself laughing along with my son as well. The humor is the type that will appeal to many. A lot of the comedy is very slapstick and physical which makes for great cartoons. It is kind of strange knowing that Jack Black doesn’t do the voice for Po but Mick Wingert sounds amazingly close to him and that pretty much makes up for it. I thought that the DVD could’ve used a few special features like maybe one on voice acting but with the amount of episodes included along with cute characters this disc is more than worth it.

Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness – Good Croc, Bad Croc is available NOW on DVD from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment
