The Movie:

I reviewed the film earlier this year. If you want to see what I thought you can check it out HERE

The 3D:

Well, the main thing that I can say is that if there was ever a movie that needed to be in 3D it’s this one. The depth between the foreground and background was great and fully immersed me in the film. There are times when I’ve experienced a downgrade in color saturation when watching a 3D Blu-ray but to my surprise all the colors stayed very vibrant and nice. While there are others out there that may not be impressed by the 3D version I feel like a big creature film like this came across perfectly. This was honestly one of the best 3D transfers that I’ve watched.

Special Features:

Deleted Scenes – A handful of scenes here that are unfortunately not individually selectable but still great to watch.

Chris & Colin Take on the World – Chris Pratt and Director Colin Trevorrow sit and talk about the film and their experiences while working on it.

Welcome to Jurassic World – A 30 min feature with some of the cast and crew talking in depth about the production, set pieces, outfits for certain characters as well as certain themes and much more.

Dinosaurs Roam Once Again – A look at bringing the dinosaurs back to the big screen. There’s a look at visual effects, the importance of making an audience believe actors performances.

Jurassic World: All-Access Pass – This feature has Pratt and Trevorrow talking about some of the technical scenes in the movie like the motorcycle riding and the gyrosphere.

Innovation Center Tour with Chris Pratt – Pratt gives a small tour of the set and points out some small “easter eggs” that people may not have noticed.

Jurassic’s Closest Shaves — Presented by Barbasol – A small montage of some of the most action packed scenes in the film.

Jurassic World is available NOW on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD from Universal Studios Home Entertainment
