The Movie:

In a single horrifying night, Michael Myers’ masked reign of terror changed Halloween forever! Now, six years after he was presumed dead in a fire, Myers has returned to kill again — and this time there’s no escape! As the homicidal fury builds to a spine-tingling climax, the long-hidden secrets of the screen’s most maniacal murderer are revealed.

Here we are at the sixth entry in the Halloween franchise. Michael Myers is a horror icon and I’ve been a huge fan of the series from the very beginning. I even loved part 3 that people thought was the “black sheep” of the bunch. This film introduces something that hadn’t been seen in the previous films and that is a supernatural aspect. I have nothing against stories about possession or black magic but for it to be in a Halloween movie was a bit much. Other than that piece of the story this is more or less your usual slasher flick. It has all the same type of kills that we know and love as well but there is one thing that separates the this from the rest………. I hadn’t seen this movie in a while so when I popped it in it was pleasant surprise to see him. With this film being one of the ones in the beginning of his career you can see the shades of the actor that he became. Plenty of actors have gotten their start in horror so it’s cool to see that he has actually made quite a name for himself. To me this entry marked the last traditional Halloween film before they went back and started to freshen up the franchise with a more modern take so that made me enjoy it a lot more. That and this was also the final performance of the legendary in a Halloween film. In the end it still is an enjoyable entry in the series and adds to the mythos that is Michael Myers. If you don’t have this one already then I suggest you pick this up to add to your collection.
