The Movie:
Dr. Andover (Robert Englund), a fear doctor who runs the clinic, uses his Fear Chamber to animate their fears in the form of terrifying hallucinations. However, the good doctor soon begins to suspect that something more sinister may be at work, something that yearns to be more than just an hallucination…
The idea of their being a doctor that makes your fears seem real in forms of hallucinations really freaks me out. The main premise and idea of the film was really great and grabbed my attention enough to want to watch it and then of course you have legendary horror icon Robert Englund and it pretty much is a must that any lover of the genre has to check it out. The film starts off really strong in the way the set everything up but I feel like it gets a bit lost in direction going towards the midpoint. Instead of giving you all you need to know storywise, you are left to put pieces together yourself which I don’t think is commonly done in horror films. That in turn may cause the viewer to get lost in the narrative a bit. The creep factor is definitely there in the film and is especially ever so present in the final act of the film. The creature that shows up is absolutely scary looking and will most likely haunt your dreams for days after watching this so……….MISSION ACCOMPLISHED GUYS! Englund of course shows that he can do this sort of thing in his sleep if he wanted to. He knows exactly what kind of performance to give and how to give it. This is definitely going to be one that I suggest to you all if you are looking for something creepy but be aware of the possibility of getting lost a bit. 6/10
