The Movie:

Horror titans George A. Romero and Stephen King deliver yet another fiendish selection of blood-curdling tales in Creepshow 2 – now newly remastered in 2K! In “Old Chief Wood’nhead”, a group of young hoodlums face retribution from an unlikely source after looting a local hardware store. Meanwhile, “The Raft” sees a group of horny teens wishing they’d read the warning signs first before taking a dip in a remote lake. Finally, an uptight businesswoman finds herself with some unwanted company following a hit-and-run incident in “The Hitch-hiker”.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! There, I said it. I just wanted to get that out of the way before I go in depth about the film. This movie was very important to me and my love of horror growing up. It’s because of it that I started down a rabbit hole of horror anthologies and I’ve come to the conclusion over the years that no anthology can ever top Creepshow 2. The easy explanation as to why can be told with two names: George A. Romero and Stephen King. People have asked me before which of the three shorts that I preferred and to be perfectly honest I can’t pick a favorite because they’re all equally great. They might not have the best dialogue or are they the best acted but the idea behind each of them are fantastically original (for their time). This is such a classic piece of horror cinema so I’m almost sure that everybody has seen it but whenever I come across someone who hasn’t I usually stop everything and get them to experience it. I totally suggest you do the same if you haven’t seen this cinematic gem and I guarantee you that you’ll love it! 9/10
