Andrew Garfield and Marc Webb CONFIRMED for The Amazing Spider-Man 2!

After a sucessful reboot of the Spider-Man franchise that hauled in $751 Million Worldwide the big question was “Is Marc Webb going to return to the directors chair?”. Wonder no more as it was just announced that he is indeed coming back for another Spidey flick. The other confirmation that was announced was that Andrew Garfield is going to be putting on the webshooters again as well.
Doug Belgrad, President of Columbia Pictures, made the announcement, stating: “We could not be more confident in the direction we are taking this new Spider-Man storyline and we are tremendously excited to be ramping up production again with Marc at the helm and Andrew continuing on as Peter Parker. We can’t wait to share what we have in store for Peter and Spider-Man with audiences worldwide.”
I’m sure that in the coming weeks (or days) we’ll hear more casting news being announced. The screenplay is by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci and based on a draft by James Vanderbilt. The film will be produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to swing into theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014.
Tokyo Game Show 2012: DmC Devil May Cry
Dante’s showing off a brand new weapon in this new artwork and screenshots directly from the 2012 Tokyo Game Show. Known as Eryx, these powerful demonic gauntlets pack enough punch to parry even the strongest attacks and juggle the heaviest enemies. There are screens a plenty plus an all new piece of artwork.
